A. C. Breckenridge
A. C. Breckenridge was a native of El Dorado, Arkansas. He was President of Breck Construction Company.
After graduating from UT Austin, he served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII.
He was a member of Monroe Rotary, President of the Monroe Chapter of the Associated General Contractors and Director of the NELA Contractors Association. He helped organize the NLU Building & Construction Department and was chair of that entity. He was also chair of the NLU Construction Advisory Council and was a past president of the Louisiana Council of Associated General Contractors. He was the founding treasurer of the American Institute of Contractors, served as a national representative of the AGC for building codes and standards, was a member of Sigma Lambda Chi, an international scholastic honorary society, as well as a member and past Director of Bayou Desiard Country Club.
He was also a member of the Western Star Masonic Lodge, becoming a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner.
