Alton McCready

Alton McCready was born in Tallulah and raised in Monroe, Louisiana. He attended and graduated from Neville High School as well as ULM with a degree in Physics. While at ULM, he played football.

He worked for Schlumberger Well Services for 35 years. In 1992, he was appointed President of Schlumberger Wireline & Testing.

The Alton McCready Memorial Scholarship was established by friends and family to honor the memory of an outstanding businessman, husband, father, and friend to all who knew him. The purpose is to provide scholarships for deserving students in the ULM School of Sciences, in the interests including, but not limited to, the study of physics.
