Glynn Tubbs
Glynn was a 1959 graduate of Bernice High School, received his Bachelor of Arts in Education from Northeast Louisiana State College (now ULM), and his Master of Education from Louisiana Tech University.
Glynn began his professional career as a teacher at Fair Park High School in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1966. Eight years later, he came to Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe as the Men’s Housing Director, and eventually became the Director of University Housing. He was later named the Director of University Farms, a position he held until his retirement.
He was a member of the Gamma Nu Chapter of the Kappa Alpha Order on the ULM campus and served as the chapter’s faculty advisor for twenty years.
The recipient of many awards during his career, two with special meaning to Glynn were the Outstanding Service Award of 1998 given by the NLU Alumni Association and the Knight Commander’s Accolade in 2006, the highest national award given to alumni of Kappa Alpha Order.

This scholarship assists ULM students who are members of the RSO, 31 Ambassadors.
