J. Brian Gregory

James “Brian” Gregory was an honor graduate of Neville High School where he played varsity football. He received his bachelor’s degree in General Studies and his master’s degree in History from ULM. He was a member of Phi Alpha Theta, the history honor society. At the time of his passing, he was deciding on where he would go to earn his Ph.D. in modern European history.

In 1997, Brian received the Phi Alpha Theta graduate history award from the Epsilon Tau chapter at ULM. In fact, the group renamed this annual award in his memory – the J. Brian Gregory Graduate History Award.
