Mauri Anne Hancock Memorial Nursing Scholarship

This scholarship was established by family and friends as a memorial to Mauri Anne Hancock, a native of Monroe and a seventh generation great-granddaughter of Don Juan Filhiol, the founder of Fort Miro (Monroe). She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a 1980 nursing graduate of ULM. Mauri Anne’s life was spent aiding others with her dedicated and caring attitude to the profession of nursing.
