George Moses Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Established by the Downtown Monroe Lions Club to honor the memory of fellow Lion George Moses, who exhibited the meaning of Lionism. Mr. Moses was the first businessman to make a donation to the NLU Foundation in 1961.
A. Recipient(s) must have successfully completed thirty (30) or more semester hours of collegiate credits with a minimum overall grade point average (GPA) prior to the semester for which the award is made of 3.4 as an undergraduate or 3.2 as a graduate student;
B. Recipient(s) must be enrolled full-time as a major in a curriculum which leads to a degree as a Speech, Language, Hearing Specialist;
C. Recipient(s) must remain a full-time student in good standing with the University and GPA in order for the scholarship to remain in force for the second term of award. The scholarship is not-renewable.
