Michel Family Endowed Internship Fund
The purpose of the fund is to provide support for deserving students fulfilling internships and that are enrolled in the Risk Management and Insurance program and in good standing with the university.
To qualify for the internship support, a recipient must meet the following:
A. Recipient(s) may be a full-time student pursuing a degree in Risk Management and Insurance.
B. Recipient(s) must be accepted into an internship.
C. Recipient must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA in college courses.
D. Internship support is renewable if the student maintains a 3.0 GPA.
E. Recipient must meet university standards for acceptance at ULM.
F. Must be a United States citizen.
G. Donor’s intent is to assist students who have a financial need as evidenced by the Student Aid Report (SAR) received by the university after the FAFSA process is complete each year and who might otherwise be unable to attend college without this scholarship. Students who are eligible for federal educational grants which do not have to be repaid, such as Federal Pell Grants, are not eligible for this scholarship, absent very extenuating circumstances. The Admissions Office shall have the latitude to make such a decision keeping in mind the original intent of this donation.
IV. Selection of Recipients
The Director of the Risk Management and Insurance Program shall issue internship support for qualified students.
