Corporal J. R. Searcy Memorial Scholarship

The scholarship shall be named the Corporal J.R. Searcy Memorial Scholarship, established in honor and in memory of J.R. Searcy with proceeds from the Xtreme Battle of the Badges. The purpose is to provide scholarships for deserving criminal justice students.

1. Recipient(s) may be a full-time or part-time student pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. Preference will be given to but not limited to, sophomore classification.
2. Recipient(s) must meet university standards for acceptance in to the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
3. Scholarship is renewable if a 2.0 GPA is maintained. The scholarship may be renewed up to a maximum of eight semesters for an incoming freshman only. All other classifications may receive the scholarship for the remaining semesters required to complete
4. Recipient must be a Ouachita Parish citizen.
