Dr. Alex John, Jr. Endowed Scholarship

To qualify for the scholarship, a recipient must meet the following:

A. Recipient(s) may be a full-time or part-time student pursuing their first undergraduate degree.

B. Recipient(s) must meet university standards for acceptance in the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

C. Scholarship is not renewable.

D. Special consideration shall be given for students who (1) are members of groups that are underrepresented at University of Louisiana Monroe, such as African Americans; or (2) have overcome obstacles such as socioeconomic or educational disadvantage; or (3) are the first generation in their family to attend college. Selection criteria may be modified or disregarded if determine in whole or in part to be contrary to law or then existing university policy.

The University of Louisiana Monroe Scholarship Office will select scholarship recipient(s).
