Dufilho Society Annual Scholarship

To qualify for the scholarship, a student must meet the following:

A. Recipient(s) must be a full-time student who has been admitted and accepted into the PharmD, or the PhD program in Pharmacy.

B. Recipient(s) must meet university standards for acceptance in the University of Louisiana Monroe. A university student must have a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA in all pharmacy courses or pre-pharmacy required courses if applying prior to beginning the professional program.

C. Recipient(s) should be able to demonstrate leadership characteristics by providing proof of membership in at least one pharmacy organization and must provide service to the college. Recipient(s) will be required to attend events sponsored by the Dufilho Society.

D. This scholarships intent is to assist students who have a financial need as evidenced by the Student Aid Report (SAR) received by the university after the FAFSA process is complete each year and who might otherwise be unable to attend college without this scholarship. Students who are eligible for federal educational grants which do not have to be repaid, such as Federal Pell Grants, are not eligible for this scholarship, absent very extenuating circumstances. The Admissions Office shall have the latitude to make such a decision keeping in mind the original intent of this fund.

E. Recipient(s) may only receive one scholarship from the Dufilho Society.

F. Scholarship is non-renewable.
