Floy Antley Wilhite Memorial Scholarship

Established in memory of Mrs. Wilhite, who dedicated her life to the teaching profession. Mrs. Wilhite was in the first graduating class (1933) of Ouachita Jr. College. She was a teacher for 33 years prior to her retirement in 1970. She taught at Wilhite School from 1933-1938, Point School in Union Parish from 1938-1942, Drew School 1945-1946, and Millsaps School from 1947-1970.

1. Recipient(s) must be a Louisiana resident.
2. Recipient(s) must be an Education major and have a commitment to pursuing a career in teaching.
3. Recipient(s) must have completed at least 30 hours of courses and have a 3.0 GPA.
4. The scholarship is renewable for up to 3 years if the recipient maintains a 3.0 GPA and remains a full time student.
