Frances Morris Memorial Scholarship
Charles Freeman Stamper originally established the Frances Morris Memorial Scholarship in 1992 in loving memory of his Caldwell Parish high school English teacher, who personified the importance of education through dedication to her students. Mrs. Morris recognized that Freeman was searching for self-understanding and acceptance and needed to be in an academic environment which would expose him to all manner of personalities and preferences. By encouraging Freeman to attend college and live on campus, Mrs. Morris pulled out a chair to the table of life and told him to Sit. This Scholarship will offer many more chairs of opportunity in her honor.
