George Welch Endowment Education Scholarship

Established by the family of George W. Welch, who dedicated his life to education as a teacher, principal and Ouachita Parish School Superintendent (1943-1948).

1. Recipient(s) must be a young man of integrity, high moral character and outstanding leadership qualities.
2. Recipient(s) must be pursuing a degree in Education.
3. Recipient(s) must be a Louisiana resident, preferably from Ouachita Parish.
4. Recipient(s) must have a 3.0 GPA in high school.
5. The scholarship shall be renewable for four years if a 3.0 GPA is maintained.
