Ken and Mary Parnell Renwick Endowed Superior Graduate Scholarship

To qualify for the scholarship, a student must meet the following:

A. Recipient must meet ULM GRE requirements as defined by the Graduate School, with a minimum Graduate Record Examination (verbal + quantitative) converted score of 750.

B. Recipient must be enrolled as a full time student pursuing a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.

C. Recipient must have a minimum 3.50 undergraduate GPA.

D. The scholarship award will cover a one-academic-year period (continuous, for 12 months) and will be renewable for a second year, based upon satisfactory performance.

E. Recipient must maintain a GPA of 3.25 each semester, make significant progress in research, and remain enrolled as a full time student for continued funding. The Major Professor (Research Mentor) will determine student progress and report to the Director for the Marriage and Family Therapy Program by March 1 if progress is not being made. If the Major Professor reports that significant progress has not occurred, the Ken and Mary Parnell Renwick Endowed Superior Graduate Scholarship will be awarded to a new applicant at the beginning of the next academic year.

The Graduate School will provide the names of all applicants who meet the criteria listed above to the Scholarship Committee of the College of Health and Pharmaceutical Sciences. The Scholarship Committee will submit recommendations to the University Scholarship Office who will confirm eligibility and determine awards.
