L. M. & C. C. Colvert Scholarship
The scholarship shall be named the Lottie Mae and C. C. Colvert Scholarship established by a bequest of Dr. & Mrs. Clyde Cornelius Colvert, in honor of his service as president of Ouachita Junior College from August 20, 1931 to October 31, 1944. Under the leadership and guidance of Dr. Colvert and the succeeding presidents, Ouachita Junior College has evolved into a renowned state university and is now renamed the University of Louisiana at Monroe. The purpose is to provide scholarships for deserving students.
To qualify for the scholarship, a student must meet the following:
1. Recipient(s) must be a graduate student pursuing a master’s degree in the Education.
2. A university student must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA in college courses.
3. Scholarship is renewable if a 3.0 GPA average is maintained. The scholarship may be renewed up to a maximum two year period.
