Lanette S. Fisher Memorial Scholarship

Established to honor the memory of Mrs. Lanette Southall Fisher who taught in the public school systems of Louisiana from 1934 until her retirement in 1972. For 38 years she exhibited a sincere dedication to the education of young people in Louisiana, therefore, it is fitting that her family has chosen to establish a scholarship which will assist others to pursue the career she loved.

1. Must be at least a sophomore majoring in Education with a preference to those in elementary education.
2. Must be a full-time student at ULM with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0.
3. Must exhibit some financial need.
4. Must possess integrity and high moral character.
