Lauren Lang Memorial Endowed Scholarship in Dental Hygiene

*CRITERIA FOR SELECTION: *

To qualify for the scholarship, a recipient(s) must meet the following:

A. Recipient(s) must meet university standards for acceptance in the University of Louisiana Monroe enrolled in the dental hygiene program. A university student must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA in college courses. Recipient must be full-time.

B. Scholarship is renewable if a 3.0 GPA is maintained. The scholarship may be renewed up to a maximum of seven semesters for an incoming freshman only. All other classifications may receive the scholarship for the remaining semesters required to complete a four-year degree.

C. Preference will be given to recipient(s) first from Northeast Louisiana (Union, Morehouse, West Carroll, East Carroll, Lincoln, Ouachita, Richland, Madison, Jackson, Caldwell, Franklin or Tensas Parish), and second to recipient(s) who are residents of the State of Louisiana.

D. Recipient(s) must submit a short essay during the annual application process per the attached instructions until such time as this requirement is removed.
