Luffey First Generation Endowed Scholarship

To qualify for the scholarship, a recipient must meet the following:

A. Recipient(s) must be a resident of Louisiana.

• Recipient(s) must be an undergraduate first-generation college student (i.e., neither custodial parent(s) nor legal guardian(s) have earned a college degree) with remaining financial need after deducting Estimated Family Contribution and all federal/state/institutional grant or scholarship aid from student’s Cost of Attendance and/or students, whether first-generation or not, awarded the federal Pell grant.

C. Recipient(s) must be awarded the federal Pell grant.

D. Recipient(s) must meet university standards for acceptance in the University of Louisiana Monroe, must be admitted to the university, and must be pursuing their first undergraduate degree.

E. ULM will provide recipient(s) with structured support through active and engaged advising.

F. ULM will provide recipient(s) with meaningful campus employment of at least ten hours per week over and above the scholarship.

G. Preference will be given to recipient(s) who is a full-time student athlete.

The ULM Scholarship Office along with TRiO will select scholarship recipient(s).
