Women’s Symposium Annual Scholarship
CRITERIA FOR SELECTION:
Two awards will be made annually, Emerging Scholarship and the Empowering Scholarship. To qualify, students must meet the following criteria.
EMERGING SCHOLARSHIP:
- The Emerging scholarship is awarded to a male or female representing the student body with high regard for respect and inclusion
- Recipient must have a 2.75 GPA and 60 hours of ULM college credit
- A personal statement of 300-350 words detailing why one is deserving of the scholarship must be submitted to the ULM Women’s Symposium Committee with the application as well as one letter of support.
EMPOWERING SCHOLARSHIP:
*The non-traditional student scholarship is awarded to a male or female student who is committed to empowering themselves and others around them, all while continuing to pursue their education
- Recipient must have a 2.5 GPA, be in good academic standing at ULM, and at least 25 years of age
- A personal statement of 300-350 words detailing why one is deserving of the scholarship must be submitted to the ULM Women’s Symposium Committee with the application as well as one letter of support
SELECTION OF RECIPIENT:
The Women’s Symposium Scholarship Committee will send the name of selected recipients to the ULM Scholarship Committee as soon as selection is made.
