Louis Pierre Kappa Alpha Psi Annual Scholarship

A. Recipient(s) must be a graduating high school seniors enrolling into the University of Louisiana of Monroe that meet all the criteria for acceptance into University. The student can be a part-time or full-time student.
B. Special consideration shall be given for students who
(1) are members Kappa Alpha Psi Kappa League;
or
(2) have overcome obstacles such as socioeconomic or educational disadvantage;
or
(3) are the first generation in their family to attend college.

Selection criteria may be modified or
disregarded if determine in whole or in part to be contrary to law or then existing university
policy.

C. Scholarship is renewable if a 2.8 GPA is maintained. The scholarship may be renewed up to a maximum of 2 semesters for an incoming freshman only.

D.Applicant(s) must submit a typed 500-word essay addressing the topic of Leadership, Education and Community and a resume including educational background, work/volunteer history, extracurricular activities, honors, and skills.
