Roger Vernon Foss Memorial Music Scholarship

NAME AND PURPOSE:

The scholarship shall be named the Roger Vernon Foss Memorial Music Scholarship, established by Ecoutez Press, Ltd., colleagues, and friends in honor and in memory of Roger Vernon Foss. The purpose is to provide scholarships for deserving music students.

CRITERIA FOR SELECTION:

To qualify for the scholarship, a student must meet the following:

A. Recipient(s) must be a full-time student pursuing their first undergraduate degree in the School of Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA).

B. Recipient(s) must meet university standards for acceptance in the University of Louisiana at Monroe. A university student must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA in college courses and a 3.25 GPA in music courses.

C. Recipient(s) must have completed at least sixty (60) credit hours and be classified as a junior.

D. Scholarship is renewable if a 3.25 GPA in music courses is maintained. The scholarship may be renewed for the remaining semesters required to complete a four year degree.

SELECTION OF RECIPIENT:

The School of Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship Committee will send recommended recipient(s) name(s) to the University of Louisiana at Monroe Scholarship Committee for final selection(s). The name of recipient(s) shall be forwarded to the Scholarship Office as soon as selection is made.
