Suzie O. Jackson Endowed Scholarship

The scholarship honors Suzzon “Suzie” Jackson, a mother and community advocate originally from Monroe, LA. Ms. Jackson believed strongly in the importance of education within the black community – to that end, she created what has now become two scholarships: one in he name of her beloved grandfather, William F. Sherman, and this one, established in her name to provide financial support to deserving African-American students pursuing a degree in the ULM College of Health Sciences or School of Sciences.

To qualify for the scholarship, a student must meet the following:

2. As an incoming freshman, recipient(s) must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA in high school. An upperclassman must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA in college courses.
