The Martin Foundation
CRITERIA FOR SELECTION:
A. Recipient must meet all ULM admission requirements to be considered for this scholarship.
B. Recipient must demonstrate: financial need, extra curricular activities, good character and leadership skills, academic excellence and good standing with the University.
C. Priority will be given to applicants who are the employees or dependents of employees of Roy 0. Martin Lumber Company Inc., or Martin Timber Company, Inc., or any of its affiliates or subsidiaries. Dependents of Martin corporate officers are not eligible for this scholarship.
D. Recipient must write a written report to both NLU Foundation and Roy 0. Martin Lumber Company, Inc. at the conclusion of each semester to include but not limited to the following: field of study and grade point average which will be the basis for the following semester’s award.
E. Scholarship may be retained for a four-year maximum.
F. Recipient must maintain at least a 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale, enrolled in 12 semester hours, and be in good standing with the university.
G. Should recipient fail to meet any of the above requirements, the scholarship will be awarded to another student during the next application period.
Awarded semester to semester, $4,000 for those living on campus and $2,000 for those not living on campus.
