The Sound of Weather Scholarship

Established by sponsors Dr. Don Conlee (BS 1983) and Gwen Conlee (BBA 1983) in memory of long-time Monroe resident Fred A. Conlee, the uncle of Dr. Conlee, who facilitated his attendance at then Northeast Louisiana University. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide scholarships for deserving students both majoring in Atmospheric Science and marching in The Sound of Today University Marching Band for the current academic year.

To qualify for the scholarship, a student must meet the following:

1. The recipient must be a full-time student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Atmospheric Science and perform in The Sound of Today University Marching Band in the current academic year. It is also expected that the student will participate in the spring semester in an official university instrumental or vocal ensemble.

2. Recipient(s) must meet university standards for acceptance in the University of Louisiana at Monroe. A university student must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA in college courses.
