Anita Ann Moore Larose
Anita graduated from ULM in 1963 with a major in English and minor in Journalism. She taught English at Terrebonne High School for 35 years, leading the award-winning yearbook and newspaper. She and her husband, Ellis, have three children, Paul, Matthew and Ellen, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Anita was extremely proud of her students. Some were awarded a Pulitzer Prize. Notable students include Lori Lyons, sports journalist and Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame inductee, Dr. James Stewart, Department Head, Mass Communications at Nicholls State University, and Vanessa Guidry-Whipple, the first female Chief Judge of the First Circuit Court of Appeal, 1st District, a role she served in until her term ended in 2022.
